Attending our Sunday morning service is the perfect way to experience Orthodoxy firsthand! Here is some information you might find helpful!
- Service Time: On Sunday mornings we serve Orthros (the morning service) at 9 AM, followed immediately by the Liturgy at 10 AM. The Liturgy normally ends between 11:15 and 11:30 AM.
- Language: Orthros is usually served in Greek, and the Liturgy is conducted bi-lingually in Greek and English. Booklets with a parallel Greek-English text of the Liturgy can be found in the pews for those who wish to follow along.
- Dress Code: No strict dress code, business casual is common. It is customary for men to wear long pants, and women to wear modest skirts or dresses.
- Arrival: Upon entering you may purchase and light a candle in the vestibule if you wish, and then enter the temple and find a comfortable spot to sit or stand.
- During the Service:
Lighting candles and venerating images is optional
Participate only in what you are comfortable with - Holy Communion:
Holy Communion (the Eucharist) is reserved for active Orthodox Christians in good standing with the community. - After the Service:
