In moments of illness, time is of the essence. We urge you not to delay in reaching out to our Priest if you believe that the moment may be drawing near. The moment when someone enters the Hospital, you should act swiftly, so that the Priest can offer last rites and spiritual guidance whenever they are needed. Don't wait until it's too late; contact the Priest promptly so that he can ensure that the comfort of our faith is available to your loved one when it's needed the most.

The Trisagion Service can be chanted throughout the year, on any day, at Church or at the gravesite.
If you wish to book a Trisagion please contact Fr Bohdan on 905 926 7040
The Church has appointed special dates on Saturdays to commemorate all those who have fallen asleep. At the end of the Liturgy on a Saturday of the Souls (Ψυχοσάββατο) a special Trisagion is chanted and the Priest commemorates at first all the pious orthodox Christians who have fallen asleep. He then commemorates all those names of the departed that are given to him by the people on that day.
These special Saturdays are nowadays the following:
i) The two Saturdays that precede the Holy and Great Lent
ii) the first Saturday of the Holy and Great Lent
iii) the Saturday before Pentecost
iv) Also in our Parish we celebrate a special Soul Saturday before the Feast Day of st. Demetrios.
Our Church blesses all the aspects of an Orthodox Christian’s life from their birth to the moment of their passing and beyond. When someone comes into a new home, when they start a new business, when a new family is blessed with the coming of a baby, for all these the Church bestows her blessing to those who ask it. These special Services are done in the house/business or at the Church. Some are done with the Blessing of the waters (Ἁγιασμός) and some with a Special Blessing (Εὐχή).
